In 2017, a diagnostic colonoscopy cost $943 at ASCs and $1,402 at HOPDs. By 2022, these costs increased to $1,040 at ASCs and $1,646 at HOPDs. This reflects a 17% increase at HOPDs and a 10% increase at ASCs over six years. There’s a notable difference in cost escalation between these two types of facilities, with HOPDs experiencing a higher rate.
