Meet Praveen
Praveen Suthrum is an entrepreneur, healthcare futurist, and strategic advisor to healthcare leaders. He co-founded NextServices, which helps gastroenterology and specialty practices improve margins, enhance efficiency, and build new revenue streams through automation and AI. He also leads GI Mastermind, a leadership and innovation forum for forward-thinking GI physicians, and hosts The Scope Forward Show, a widely followed podcast on the future of GI care.
In 2025, he launched Strategic AI Mastery, a practical workshop series helping GI groups apply AI to real-world challenges — from staffing shortages to back-office automation and strategic decision-making.
His work has been featured in Forbes, Inc., STAT News, Fortune, Fierce Healthcare, The Economic Times, Medscape, and Gastroenterology & Endoscopy News. He is the author of Private Equity in Gastroenterology, Scope Forward, and The Shift: How Digital Innovation Is Irreversibly Transforming Gastroenterology and Healthcare.
Praveen has spoken on leading GI platforms worldwide — including the Presidential Plenary at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) and Grand Rounds at the University of Pennsylvania — and has delivered keynotes and workshops for organizations such as the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Capital Digestive Care, Borland Groover, Connecticut GI, and Olympus Corporation.
He holds an engineering degree from the Manipal Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and advanced yoga teacher training (including Yoga for Cancer) from The Yoga Institute. He has served as Chairman of the Michigan Ross Alumni Board of Governors. He also advises Surgical Automations, a company developing a colonoscopy robot.
