The US Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer now recommends that colorectal cancer screening begin at 45 years of age. The update falls in line with recommendations from leading national cancer societies.
“Although there is no literature demonstrating that CRC screening in individuals under age 50 improves health outcomes such as CRC incidence or CRC-related mortality, sufficient data … suggest average-risk CRC screening [should] begin at age 45,” wrote the authors,
