Gastro Health has announced a strategic partnership with Echosens to integrate FibroScan technology across its U.S. network, expanding access to non-invasive liver assessment for patients at risk of metabolic liver disease.
FibroScan enables physicians to assess liver health without a biopsy in many cases, helping identify patients who may need further evaluation and monitor disease progression over time. The partnership aims to incorporate liver assessment into routine gastroenterology visits, reducing fragmented care and supporting earlier identification of liver disease in patients with obesity, diabetes and other metabolic risk factors.
According to Gastro Health Medical Director of Clinical Quality Dr. Jose Lavergne, integrating non-invasive assessment into GI practices could help physicians identify risk earlier, educate patients and determine appropriate next steps. The collaboration also supports Gastro Health’s broader strategy to establish a coordinated, enterprise-wide approach to liver disease management, linking clinical care with research and real-world evidence.
