WovenX Health has announced a GI procedure partner network spanning all 50 states and Washington, D.C. as part of a national colorectal cancer screening navigation program. Beginning next month, the program will help patients with positive stool-based colorectal cancer screening results connect with participating GI practices for follow-up colonoscopy.
The initiative builds on WovenX’s Fast Track pathway. Patients who opt in can complete a pre-procedural intake and select a participating GI provider, with the intake information shared securely with the receiving practice to support scheduling and procedural readiness.
The need is substantial: WovenX cites a 2023 JAMA Network Open study of more than 32,000 patients across 39 U.S. healthcare organizations, in which only 51.4% completed a colonoscopy within 180 days after a positive stool-based screening result. Starting in 2027, NCQA’s new HEDIS COF-E measure will also evaluate follow-up after a positive colorectal cancer non-invasive screening test.
WovenX says its network is intended to turn a positive screening result into completed follow-up rather than another point of loss in the screening pathway.
