Today, we’re joined by Dr Neil Stollman, gastroenterologist and chief of gastroenterology at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Oakland, California. Dr Stollman is past chairman of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Board of Governors and currently serves as treasurer of the Board of Trustees.
He is also helping lead efforts to update the ACG diverticulitis guidelines. Dr Stollman is first author of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) 2015 guideline on managing acute diverticulitis and has contributed to the field for decades, including as coauthor of a landmark 2004 article in The Lancet on diverticulitis management.
